You can't get any simpler than this!
You'd think it would be easy, I just want to get a bunch of family photos from the digital camera and burn them on a CD to send to the grandparents but after hours of searching the shareware sites, I have been unable to find a sufficiently simple app. So I made a really simple slide show for Windows.
The design goal of this thing is to be so simple that someone who barely knows which way up to hold the mouse can just put in the CD and see the pictures without having to think or click anything.
All this program does is scan the current working directory and all sub directories for any JPEG files it can find and then shows them as a slide show.
It should run on any version of Windows back to Win95.
I've added a couple of little extras like a speed control and some keyboard shortcuts but that is it. You just can't get any simpler.
Anyway, here it is for your downloading pleasure. This is totally free to use by anyone although I'll have to ask that you read my simple terms and conditions before you download this program.

Instructions
Just unpack the ZIP, whack the EXE and the associated AUTORUN.INF onto a CD with a whole bunch of JPEGS and that's it.
When the end user puts the CD in their Windows PC, the Auto-run will kick in and start the slide show automatically. If your user is really clever, he may figure out that right-clicking will pop up a context menu with a few simple options.
Hot keys while viewing the slide show are:
- Q or Esc - Quit
- B or left arrow - go back one slide
- Space or right arrow - go forward one slide
- P - Pause the slide show
