Cognition/three is the third CD in Clan
Analogue's Cognition series, following on from the 1999
compilation 20 Disco Greats and 1997's
Cognition.
Cognition/three again pushes the envelope
of electronic sound and rhythm. Be surprised, be amused,
be enthused. Listen.
This time round we see the first disc's tracks selected
by Melbourne's infamous DJ Nic Toupee (Nicole Lowerey),
and the second disc's tracks selected by Sydney's Kazumichi
Grime.
Disc One is aimed at the dance floor with deep and
edgy techno while Disc Two takes a more textured approach,
moving through ambient, dub and into some sweet minimalism
towards the end.
